At Spe Salvi we are aware that part of the problem of Nigeria derives from poor exposure or access to urban life for its rural population. Many young adults in these rural areas still need formation in the cultural, social and ethical principles needed for proper integration in a modern society. People still act like they do not know who they are and how best to contribute to society meaningfully. Nigerian schools also do not provide this needed education. This situation, in part, explains the lack of development in many areas of societal life in the country.
Spe Salvi support programs are designed to fill these educational gaps in our rural population. We provide several Christian activities for young adults, such as retreats, camps, workshops, outreaches, and professional mentorship and counselling programs. Our goal is to provide a safe environment where the young can express their feelings and emotions without feeling judged. We also connect them with mentors who provide personalised guidance and inspire them through their own real-life experiences. Our retreats and workshops are a lot of fun as we do not just talk, pray and teach, they are also places where people can learn basic life skills like driving, swimming, making friends, music, relaxation and cooking.
